Jordan Gaming Lab Hosts Experts from Unity Technologies

The Jordan Gaming Lab, one of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development's projects, recently hosted experts from Unity Technologies, the developer of the Unity gaming engine.
The purpose of the visit was to Keep local electronic Gaming companies and Jordanian game developers up to date on the latest upgrades and features in this field.
In the presence of the Director of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, Mazen Tabbalat, and the President of Al Hussein Technical University, Dr. Ismail Al-Hinti, the Jordan Gaming Lab held workshops in collaboration with the expert team on technical areas and Unity engine features for interested students at Al Hussein Technical University.
The workshop included discussions and bilateral meetings over technical areas related to the game engine, with the aim of equipping trainees with the necessary technical skills to accelerate the growth of this industry locally and enhance its global competitiveness.
Similar workshops were also held for interested University of Jordan students, while a tour was organized on board the Jordan Gaming Lab's mobile bus to Mount Nebo in Madaba Governorate, along with a meeting with a group of electronic game developers.
It is worth noting that the Unity game engine is the most widely used by electronic game developers in Jordan. The Jordan Gaming Lab regularly conducts training courses for students on how to use it and build electronic games.

The Jordan Gaming Lab, which was founded in 2011, aims to help Jordan's electronic game sector, raise awareness of its importance among the younger generation, and facilitate networking between Jordanian youth interested in this field and global companies.
