The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), through its youth arm, the All Jordan Youth Commission (AJYC), continues to implement a series of volunteer, educational, humanitarian and environmental activities across the Kingdom’s governorates, in cooperation with various national institutions. These initiatives aim to strengthen youth participation in community service, promote the values of volunteerism and social responsibility, and respond to the needs of local communities.
Dr. Samer Mofleh, Director General of KAFD, said that the All Jordan Youth Commission, as the Fund’s youth arm, represents one of the key mechanisms through which its development-oriented vision is translated into practical initiatives and activities that encourage young people to serve their communities and expand their contribution to development in its various dimensions.
He emphasized that the Commission’s continued implementation of volunteer activities across educational, humanitarian, environmental and other fields reflect the Fund’s approach to empowering young people and strengthening their role as active partners in achieving sustainable development impact, guided by the needs and priorities of local communities.
Mofleh added that the diversity of volunteer activities carried out by the Commission highlights the importance of field-based initiatives and institutional partnerships in channeling young people’s energy into tangible contributions that serve communities and reinforce the values of citizenship and social responsibility. He noted that, through its youth arm, the Fund continues to support initiatives that provide young people with opportunities to actively engage in national and development-related issues, helping to foster a culture of volunteerism and solidarity and strengthen youth participation in the Kingdom’s comprehensive development journey.
In the educational field, the Commission continues to implement its “Learn with Us” campaign, which aims to support school students and develop their knowledge and skills by providing free lessons in a range of school subjects, particularly in remote areas, outlying communities, villages, refugee camps and Badia regions. The campaign also includes initiatives to build young people’s capacities in languages, digital skills, technology and personal development, helping students make productive use of their school holidays while equipping them with knowledge and life skills.
As part of its humanitarian efforts, the Commission carries out volunteer activities in cooperation with the Charity Clothing Bank, an initiative of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization. Volunteers participate in sorting clothing and in-kind donations, preparing them for distribution, and delivering them to underprivileged families and those in need across the Kingdom’s governorates. Volunteers also help organize charitable exhibitions in villages and remote areas, reinforcing the values of humanitarian solidarity and community support.
The Commission also continues its cooperation with Thareed Waqf, with volunteers contributing to the implementation and facilitation of the Waqf’s humanitarian initiatives, particularly programs aimed at providing meals and food assistance to targeted groups. These efforts include helping organize distribution operations and deliver assistance, highlighting the importance of national partnerships in supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening humanitarian action.
On the environmental front, the Commission is implementing a series of tree-planting campaigns in cooperation with various national institutions across the Kingdom’s governorates. The campaigns aim to expand green spaces and enhance the appearance of public facilities, schools, parks and streets, while raising environmental awareness among young people and encouraging their participation in protecting the environment and preserving natural resources.
It is worth noting that KAFD has developed a new strategy for the 2027–2030 period, which will give rise to a range of specialized, high-impact national programs. Some of these programs will be implemented through the KAFD’s youth arm, the All Jordan Youth Commission, beginning in early 2027.
