The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), through the Jordan Gaming Lab initiative, has launched the Kids Club, a summer training program targeting children aged 9 to 14.
The program aims to develop participants' skills in coding, game development, robotics, and creative thinking through hands-on learning and interactive projects delivered in an engaging educational environment.
Dr. Samer Mofleh, Director General of the King Abdullah II Fund for Development, said the program forms part of the KAFD's plan to further develop the Jordan Gaming Lab and transform it into a specialized hub for emerging technologies and game development, in line with Jordan's national priorities for building digital skills and investing in local talent.
He added that the program's training tracks were carefully selected to align with these priorities and to introduce children to the technologies shaping future digital industries, while nurturing their skills in an interactive learning environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and technological excellence.
Running from 11 July to 2 August 2026, the program reflects the Lab's ongoing efforts to expand access to its technical training initiatives and equip a new generation with the digital competencies needed to keep pace with rapid technological advancements and the evolving demands of the future workforce.
The program will be delivered across the Jordan Gaming Lab's branches in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa, Tafileh, Aqaba, and Karak (Creativity Club and Mu'tah University). It features three specialized training tracks covering game development using Python, robotics, and game development using the Unity engine.
The program is designed to strengthen children's technical and creative capabilities while enhancing logical thinking, innovation, and teamwork. It also provides participants with practical experience in coding, game development, and robotics, helping to foster an early interest in technology and prepare them for future opportunities in the digital economy.
The Jordan Gaming Lab continues to implement specialized training programs as part of its broader development strategy to expand its offerings in emerging technologies and strengthen digital and creative skills among different age groups. These efforts support Jordan's vision of preparing national talent for the jobs of the future, in line with the Economic Modernization Vision, particularly in high-value sectors such as the creative industries.
