The King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) has commenced preparations to launch the 15th cycle of the Civil Service Development Project, by addressing ministries, institutions, and government entities to nominate targeted staff and conduct the necessary interviews in preparation for announcing the final results.
KAFD’s Director General, Dr. Samer Al-Mufleh, stated that the project aligns with the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap and complements its objectives, reflecting the KAFD’s role as an institutional umbrella supporting national efforts to enhance human resource efficiency in the public sector.
He added that the project aims to invest in human resources development and strengthen leadership skills, while also supporting the sustainability of institutional development and improving the work environment—ultimately contributing to better quality public services for citizens.
The project targets public sector employees, with the objective of enhancing their efficiency and strengthening their leadership and administrative capabilities, thereby contributing to building a more effective and agile public sector. A total of 20 employees from various ministries and government institutions will be selected after completing assessment procedures and successfully passing all stages of the selection and interview process, ensuring the recruitment of the most qualified candidates and optimal investment in human capital.
The project is implemented through specialized training programs designed to develop skills, enhance the institutional work environment, and embed modern leadership concepts and performance-driven institutional practices. It is based on an integrated training program delivered in cooperation with the UK-based Inspirational Group, comprising three training phases. Two phases are conducted in Jordan, focusing on administrative skills, policy formulation, and AI tools for leaders, while the third phase is held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, focusing on leadership development through practical applications that enhance decision-making and teamwork that yields high-performance.
Eligibility criteria include holding at least a bachelor’s degree, occupying a mid-level leadership position with supervisory responsibilities, proficiency in English, and the ability to travel abroad—ensuring participants are fully prepared to benefit from all stages of the program. Nominations are submitted through the respective institutions.
Since its inception, the project has delivered 14 training cycles, benefiting 337 employees, with 147 participants having advanced to leadership positions—an indicator of the program’s impact in developing government competencies and enhancing career pathways.
