KAFD Launches ‘Tamkeen’ Project to Support Political Initiatives

Coinciding with the celebrations of His Majesty King Abdullah’s II Silver Jubilee, and in line the ongoing political modernization process led by His Majesty, the King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD) has launched the "Tamkeen" project to support political initiatives.
The move stems from KAFD’s role as a national institution working to bolster the State's efforts to encourage political participation.
The project's concept is based on a plan to financially support projects, ideas, and initiatives that contribute to enhancing and serving the political modernization drive through collaboration among public sector institutions, the private sector, and civil society organizations.
Moreover, the project aims to spread community political awareness and enhance the political participation of youth and women in the various aspects of political life. It also seeks to stimulate an environment conducive to party and political action within local communities, in addition to supporting an ecosystem that fosters the rise of young leaders and empowering them with effective political participation tools.
The project targets civil society institutions and non-profit companies working in the field of political awareness, where qualified projects will receive financial support ranging from JD10,000 to JD35,000.
Those wishing to apply for financial support can fill out the application form through the link: www.join.kafd.jo, under specific terms and criteria, during the period from February 13 to March 10.
It is noteworthy that "Tamkeen" project comes in continuation of a series of political initiatives implemented by the Fund as part a program-based plan aimed at enhancing participation in political life.
