Social Entrepreneurship Challenge: Don't leave your idea on paper

King Abdullah II Fund for Development is launching the fourth cycle of the Social Entrepreneurship Challenge project.
The initiative comes in line with the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II, which identifies young people as the main driving force for change, stressing that it is essential to invest in youth's productive capacities to work out solutions to the challenges facing their communities, through developing their talents and encouraging them to take the entrepreneurship and innovation path.
According to the project's development plan for its current cycle, the age limit for individuals and youth groups has been expanded to 22-40 years old. In addition, civil society institutions can apply for support. The idea behind that is to provide an opportunity for those with entrepreneurial ideas in various fields to implement their ideas according to the needs of their communities and regions, under the slogan "Don't leave your idea on paper."

The project aims to support young people to implement new entrepreneurial projects or develop their existing projects, improve their quality, and enhance their impact on local communities. In addition, it encourages positive competition and promotes a culture of initiative, giving, and active citizenship among young people so that they contribute to the development of their governorates.
The Challenge also promotes positivity by presenting models of young people who have been able to bring about positive change in their local communities.
Those interested in applying for support can fill out the application form available on www.join.kafd.jo between April 18th and May 15th, under specific conditions and criteria.
Qualified projects will receive technical support through a training program aimed at developing the project's idea to ensure a real and effective impact. Winners will receive financial support of up to JD5,000 for individuals and youth groups, and JD10,000-15,000 for civil society institutions.
A neutral and specialized technical committee of experts will review and evaluate the applications and make the selection.
It should be noted that since the Challenge was launched in 2019, it has supported 12 projects, while it has provided 1,797 direct and indirect opportunities.
