The Jordan Gaming Lab, one of KAFD projects, in cooperation with BAU \Prince Abdullah bin Ghazi Information Technology Faculty launches a special edition of the App Challenge competition for undergraduate students to design and develop games.
Dr. Najad Al Najdawi, Dean of Prince Abdullah bin Ghazi Information Technology Faculty, pointed out the importance of games development sector and it’s role of enhancing our economy and how it accomplishes the vision of King Abdullah II in developing Jordanian Human Resources, highlighting KAFD’s role in this sector.
Moreover , the strategic partner of the Jordan Gaming Lab and the founder of Maysalward for game development Eng. Noor Khrais assured about how important the Gaming Industry is locally and internationally .
More than (250) student have participated in the opening of this competition where they had the chance to learn more about the Gaming Development industry.
This competition is considered one of its kind between Jordanian universities and it is expected to have an impact on building capacity in creativity and innovation among students. Moreover, the Jordan Gaming Lab will provide participants , both college lecturers and students , with ToT training that would eventually lead to introducing Virtual Reality as a new major at the University.
