The Integrated Olive Products Company

KAFD established this pioneering agricultural project in cooperation with the private sector to assist the people of Ballas in the Governorate of Ajloun in realizing feasible olive farming and improve their living conditions. The company works to reduce poverty and unemployment in Ballas and the neighboring villages, and optimize the relative advantages of Ajloun Governorate, especially in the field of olive farming, which is the source of 60 per cent of the governorate's income. In the larger picture, the project is likely to help develop Jordan's olive oil sector and enhance its competitiveness in overseas markets.
