Youth Empowerment
  • All Jordan Youth Commission (AJYC)
  • KAFD has established All Jordan Youth Commission (AJYC) to encourage Jordanian youth to engage in the public sphere. The commission provides youth with the proper channels they need to reach out. To this date, over 200,000 young persons benefited from the various training courses, voluntary services, and debate sessions on different youth-related issues offered by the commission’s 12 centers that spread across the Kingdom. These centers provide a venue for interaction between the youth and other community centers. To learn more, go to http://www.ajyc.jo
  • Career Guidance Offices (CGOs)
  • KAFD has established Career Guidance Offices (CGOs) at Jordanian universities in 2003 to provide career guidance and placement services for university students to meet job needs. To date, KAFD has a network of 21 CGOs across Jordanian universities, 10 of which are at public universities. CGOs offer students the expertise, resources, and access to potential employers, in addition to helping them assess their goals, explore options, and learn the skills they need to realize their ambitions. KAFD highly values its partnership with universities, the Ministry of Higher Education, and private and public sector entities that are integral to the success of CGOs. Over 200,000 students have been utilizing the services of these offices, and benefiting from the training programs offered.
  • International Travel Support Program
  • KAFD has launched the International Travel Support program in 2006. This program aims at supporting university students in activities abroad. The program covers the costs of travel tickets (partially or fully) and visa expenses for students that are active in academic and extra-curricular programs. The purpose of this program is to lift any financial barriers that may prevent Jordanian students from participating in international events, seminars, exchanges, conferences, internships and other activities.
  • The Mediterranean Youth Technology Club (MYTecC)
  • The Mediterranean Youth Technology Club (MYTecC) is an inspirational program that has been implemented during 2009-2010 under the umbrella of KAFD, with the participation of 50 students representing 6 public schools. The program aims at improving youth employment prospects by providing high school students across Jordan with a well-founded, after-school education program. The program provides participants with basic technology and computer skills, together with an interactive English language curriculum. The English course aims at enabling the students to communicate with their peers in other participating countries from the Mediterranean region and the Arab World through virtual and life skills activities using Web2.0.
  • DARB - Summer Internship Program
  • DARB is a national internship program implemented by KAFD and its partner LoYAC with the support of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, offered to Jordanian students from public universities, where they join a private/public sector entity or an NGO that hosts them as interns for at least 8 paid weeks. For interested students, please visit the Career Guidance Office at any of the universities.
