  • ITG built the Edu Wave system, an e-Learning initiative financed by KAFD. Edu Wave gained a regional and international reputation as the most comprehensive e-Learning platform that caters for all the needs of the educational community, namely: K-12, Higher-Ed, and Corporate. The project is applied by the Ministry of Education in all schools across the Kingdom.

The Edu Wave Portal offers e-Learning solutions that enable students to use an interactive graphic interface. It also provides continuous student-student, and student-teacher communication. The system also enables teachers to employ examples from real life in addition to scientific experiments that are different from examples that are only sketches or drawings used in conventional textbooks.

  • Knowledge Stations (IT Community Centers)
  • The Knowledge Stations is the first step towards establishing a nation- wide interconnected platform that provides local communities with advanced linkages for sharing knowledge and expertise. The first Knowledge Station was established in Al Safawi area in 2001, and over a period of five years, KAFD established 170 Knowledge Stations (IT Community Centers) to bridge the digital divide and utilize ICT to contribute to Jordan’s socioeconomic development.

Knowledge Stations provide citizens, especially in remote and poor areas, with free Internet services, training services (e.g. ICDL), and social services such as health awareness sessions. The centers have benefited over 500,000 people so far, including retired military servicemen. The project has been successfully handed over to the Ministry of ICT and is still operating and expanding, and will be used as a platform for the e-government initiative.
